As a former PGA Golf Professional, Ryan has extensive experience in coaching people of all ages, abilities and starting points. He was the Head Professional at Hunting Hills Country Club for 6 years prior to entering the fitness industry. In 2016 he co-founded CrossFit Unify Roanoke and in May 2017 took the lead at Brickhouse CrossFit. In 2020 he rebranded to Brickhouse Health and Fitness, a fitness and nutrition coaching gym that helps people lose weight, look great and feel amazing. Currently Ryan focuses his time and energy on creating the absolute best environment for his clients through personal training, group coaching, online training and nutrition coaching.


Ryan loves seeing and helping in the physical, mental and emotional progressions of everyone who comes to us at Brickhouse. From the initial awareness of where we are, the goal-setting process, and the first steps on the journey, to the hardships along the way, overcoming obstacles and setbacks, and ultimately achieving our goals. The entire journey is incredible and fulfilling!


Motivation is what gets us started; from there habit and discipline need to be built. Ryan motivates by keeping things fun, understanding where each person is coming from and what they’ve got in front of them in their journey. He doesn’t ask his members to do things that he is not willing to do himself. He bases his coaching on the relationship he has created with the person and the approach that is going to get them the best result in that moment and moving forward. Ryan aims to inspire everyone at Brickhouse, not only by the things he does or the actions he takes, but by the person he is, the things he stands for and the values he owns.
